Colophon
About this site
This is the explanatory surface of the Church of Conceptual Art — an on-ramp for the curious that descends into study material for the committed.
It is a sibling of The Glossary (Volume II of the Art Bible), and shares its visual language. Where the Glossary traces the lineage of the Concept across philosophy, this site explains the doctrine in plain terms and shows you how to study and gather around it.

The reading convention
This site mixes two kinds of text, and marks them so you always know which is which. Each kind is set as its own specimen below.
№ 01
Direct scripture
A red-ruled block with a source line is a direct quotation from the CoCA Bible or the Mission Deck — the institution's own words, unaltered:
Brand is communion. The logo is a totem. The mission statement is a prayer that has forgotten it is one. — CoCA Mission Deck
№ 02
Connective text
Ordinary paragraphs like this one are written for this site — explanation, framing, and interpretation. They are not scripture. Interpretive asides appear muted:
This is a gloss — the site's own reading, offered to help, not to bind.
№ 03
Live terms
A dotted red underline marks a defined term. Follow it to the Lexicon, or hand it to the Oracle for interpretation.
